My Music Playlist

This is the music that lived in the background while I was becoming who I am. It played in the firehouse at two in the morning, in apartments that never quite felt permanent, and later, in a house surrounded by pine trees where winter stays longer than it should. I don't listen to these songs for nostalgia—I listen to remember the emotional feelings of certain years. They are steady, mid-tempo, deliberate. No glitter. No escape hatch. Just voices that understand fracture without dramatizing it. These were the songs that let me sit inside my own head without needing to run from it. The ones that asked hard questions and didn't demand applause.
